BMC shares list of centers administering Covid vaccine to children aged 15 to 18


Vaccination against COVID-19 for the 15-18 age group began Monday morning across the country. CoWIN registration for the age group had already started on Saturday.

Mumbai civic body BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has published guidelines listing the names of public CVCs that will administer doses of vaccine to 15-18 year olds in the city.

Immunization guidelines for Age group 15-18 years:

Children born in 2007 or before are eligible.

School identity card / Aadhaar compulsory.

Parents are requested to accompany the children. The students of the BMC school will be accompanied by teachers.

Covaxin will be administered.

Possibility of registration on site and offline.

Register through existing accounts (parents) or accounts created by yourself on Cowin.

On December 25, 2021, PM Modi announced that vaccination for the 15-18 age group should start from Monday while the administration of the third precautionary dose for vulnerable categories should start from January 10. 2022.

As part of the vaccination of the 15-18 age group, the Union Health Secretary has informed States and UTs that only “Covaxin” should be administered in this population category and that doses additional ‘Covaxin’ will be sent to all states. and UT.
