MRNA Vaccinology Tops Cleveland Clinic’s Top 10 Medical Innovations List | The sound of ideas


Every year, doctors at the Cleveland Clinic get together and decide what they think are the top ten medical innovations for the next year. This year’s top ten list includes innovations related to diabetes, prostate cancer and postpartum depression. The number one innovation on the list is the next generation of mRNA vaccinology. You will remember it as the technology that led to the life-saving COVID-19 vaccine in less than a year.

Also this hour, Kabir Bhatia of Ideastream Public Media will join us in explaining why so many cities, towns and townships in Cuyahoga County have the word “Heights” in their names…

And, we will be discussing a big change coming to Ideastream Public Media at the end of this month. Starting Monday, March 28, WKSU will become Northeast Ohio’s premier news and information station, and the programming you hear on 90.3 will expand to 89.7 WKSU and 104.9.

Also on March 28, 90.3 will begin airing the classic programming you hear now on 104.9 WCLV. And the 90.3 call letters will become WCLV.
